Choosing, customising and ordering your plastic chain.
From product selection to colours, packaging and delivery, we help you find the right plastic chain for your application. If you are unsure about any part of your specification, our sales team is happy to offer practical advice.
Products & selection
Find the right size, material and accessories for your application.
How do I choose the right plastic chain size?
The right size depends on your application, strength requirements and the level of visibility you need. The following guide covers some common uses:
| Chain size | Typical applications |
|---|---|
| 2–3 mm | Decoration, creative displays and lightweight hanging applications |
| 4–6 mm | Supermarket displays, garment hanging and retail merchandising |
| 6–10 mm | Traffic delineation, pedestrian guidance, area separation and warning applications |
| 12–14 mm | Applications requiring a heavier chain and greater visual impact, such as riverside boundaries and construction sites |
Our 6–8 mm range is the most popular, offering options for a wide variety of applications.
If you are unsure which model to choose, tell us how and where the chain will be used. Our sales team can help you compare suitable options.
Compare chain modelsWhat is the difference between Economy and Standard versions?
Economy and Standard versions differ in weight per metre, link geometry and tensile performance, giving customers options to suit different budgets and application requirements.
The differences vary by model. You can switch between versions on the product page to compare photographs and specifications, or contact us for help choosing the right option.
What material are your plastic chains made from?
Our plastic chains are made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), a type of polyethylene that combines low weight with durability and resistance to hot and cold conditions.
For applications involving prolonged high or low temperatures, or other demanding conditions, please share your requirements so we can confirm a suitable material formulation.
Are your plastic chains suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. Our formulations are adapted for outdoor applications, with particular attention to countries and regions exposed to strong sunlight.
Compared with conventional formulations, our outdoor formulations offer improved UV resistance and colour retention, helping delay noticeable fading beyond one year under suitable conditions. Actual performance varies with colour, sunlight intensity, climate and exposure.
Please tell us where and how the chain will be used so we can recommend an appropriate formulation and colour option.
What do the tension figures on the product pages mean?
The tension figures indicate the tensile load a chain can withstand under test conditions. We use dedicated tensile testing equipment and carry out sample testing on every production batch to check strength against the relevant quality requirements.
Results vary by model and version. When selecting a chain, please consider how it will be loaded and used. Our sales team can help you review the available specifications for your application.
Do you supply matching connectors and accessories?
Yes. We supply S-shaped and Q-shaped connecting links, giving customers more flexibility when connecting and configuring their chains.
These accessories are also available in custom colours. They can be matched to the chain or supplied in contrasting colours to suit display, identification or warning requirements.
Colours & customisation
Make the colour, length and packaging work for your market.
Can you match a Pantone colour or a physical sample?
Yes. We can customise colours using a Pantone reference or a physical sample supplied by the customer.
Send us your colour reference and application requirements when requesting a quotation. We can then arrange colour matching and sample confirmation to help achieve a consistent appearance for your brand or project.
Explore customisationCan I order two-colour or multi-colour chains?
Yes. We offer two-colour and multi-colour combinations, including familiar options such as red and white or yellow and black, as well as other customer-specified arrangements.
You can also specify the length of each colour section. Pricing depends on the number of colours, the arrangement and the complexity of production.
Can you supply custom lengths and packaging quantities?
Yes. Both chain length and packaging quantities can be customised.
Popular options include 10, 25 and 50 metres per pack, but we can also supply other specified lengths. For chains with different colour sections, you can choose the length of each section to suit your display, layout or project.
View packaging optionsCan you add our branding, labels and barcodes to the packaging?
Yes. We offer custom packaging with your brand identity, labels and barcodes, supporting distributors, retailers and private-label product ranges.
You can provide finished artwork, packaging references or a design brief. Our professional product designers can also help develop the packaging’s visual design.
We aim to provide a complete product solution—from the chain itself to packaging that works for your market.
Can you develop a new chain size or design?
Yes. We have more than 20 years of mould development experience, and plastic chain mould development is one of our core capabilities.
Send us your drawings, physical samples or product ideas. Our team can assess the link structure, dimensions, material and production requirements, then discuss a suitable approach to mould development, sampling and manufacturing.

Minimum quantities and customisation requirements are confirmed for each item. Send us your purchasing list, and we can help organise the product combinations, packaging and quotation.
What is your typical production lead time?
Production for standard orders usually takes 10–15 days. We also hold stock of selected popular models and colours, allowing us to respond quickly when suitable products are available.
Custom-order lead times depend on the product, colour, packaging and any mould development required. Once we receive your requirements, our sales team will assess the work involved and confirm the expected production and delivery schedule.
Quality & delivery
Understand our quality checks, factory visits and shipping arrangements.
How do you control product quality, and can I visit your factory?
Our quality control starts with raw material selection and continues through mould maintenance, production, product testing and packaging.
- Raw material control: We use virgin HDPE, without adding production regrind or externally sourced recycled material. This helps reduce variability associated with repeated processing and mixed material composition, giving us better control over product appearance, performance and batch-to-batch consistency.
- Mould maintenance: Our mould technicians regularly inspect and service tooling, addressing wear and ageing to help maintain consistent product formation.
- Production inspections: Quality personnel carry out regular checks during production to identify and address issues promptly.
- Batch testing: Every production batch undergoes tensile sample testing to check strength.
- Packaging checks: Our packing team inspects the chain link by link and removes defective products. We also check packaging integrity after packing is complete.
Over many years in the plastic chain industry, we have supplied reliable products and services to customers across different countries and regions. Many long-term partners and high-volume buyers visit our factory to assess our production capabilities, quality management and order fulfilment processes.
As a direct manufacturer with in-house mould development and production capabilities, we welcome customers from around the world to arrange a factory visit or supplier audit. You can see our manufacturing processes, assess product quality and discuss your purchasing and customisation requirements with our team in person.
Arrange a factory visitWhich shipping options and trade terms do you offer?
We support sea freight and air freight and work with established logistics providers to coordinate shipments according to order volume, destination and delivery requirements.
If you have a preferred logistics company or freight forwarder, we are happy to work with them and assist with shipment handover.
Our usual trade term is FOB. The port of shipment and other shipping requirements are confirmed during quotation and order discussions.
